CHATRPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ

Shivaji Maharaj (1630–1680) was a great Maratha warrior and founder of the Maratha Empire in western India. He was born into a noble family in the hill fort of Shivneri in present-day Maharashtra, India. Shivaji is widely regarded as one of the greatest warriors in Indian history and is often referred to as the "father of the Indian Navy."

Shivaji Maharaj is best known for his military campaigns against the Mughal Empire, which was the dominant power in India at the time. He successfully defeated several Mughal armies and established a strong Maratha presence in western India.
